RRB JE Exam 2019: Important Dates, Eligibility Criteria, Application Process, Syllabus, Admit Card and Result

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is expected to release the official notification for 14,059 vacancies in the Indian as per their notificatio, Railways on 29th December 2018. Out of the 14,059 vacancies, 8779 vacancies will be for Junior Engineer (JE) and also 4304 vacancies will be for Senior Section Engineer (SSE) are on huge demand. The application process for the same will begin from 2nd January 2019 and will continue till 31st January 2019 as early as possible . The information has been confirmed through an internal notice circulated on social media by the official website of RRB.

Vacancies for the post of Junior Engineer & Senior Engineers are to be announced region-wise. Here is the approximate number of vacancies for both the posts are giveen in table:

RRB JE Exam Latest Notification:-

  • The North Western Railway is expected to release more than 14,000 vacancies for Junior Engineer (JE) & Senior Section Engineer (SSE) .

RRB JE Exam 2019 Eligibility

Nationality

  • The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
  • He/she must have Aadhaar Card.

Educational Qualification

  • A candidate should have 3 years Engineering Diploma from a well known University/institute in any one of the subjects – Mechanical/Production Engineering/Electrical/Electronics/Manufacturing/Tools & Die Making/Mechatronics/ Industrial/Machining/Automobile/Instrumentation & Control/Tools & Machining/Civil Engineering and relative treads.
  • B.Sc. (three years) in Civil Engineering or a combination of any sub-stream of Civil engineering basic streams from a recognise University .

Age Limit

  • The applicant should be completed 18 years and should not be more than 25 years of age.

RRB JE Exam 2019 Application Process

How to Apply for RRB JE Exam 2018

Candidates can apply for the RRB JE exam 2019 online only through the official websites of the RRBs. The application process will begin from 2nd January 2019 and will continue till 31st January 2019. Follow the steps provided below:

  • Go to the official website of Indian Railways – http://www.indianrailways.gov.in/.
  • Click on the ‘Recruitment’ tab on the home-page.
  • List of RRBs will appear on the screen, click on the one through which you want to apply.
  • You will be redirected to the official website of that RRB.
  • Click on the ‘Apply’ link for the JE 2018 exam.
  • The RRB JE Exam 2018 Application Form can be filled in the 2 stages – Stage 1 and Stage 2.
    • Stage 1 is Registration – Candidates are required to provide basic details like Name, Address, Email ID, and Phone Number.
  • Upon successful registration, login credentials will be sent to the candidate’s registered email id.
  • By entering the login credentials, candidates will be able to get access to the application form.
    • Stage 2 is filling the Application Form – They should fill it with all the correct details about their educational qualification, age, address, gender, category and other details.
  • Candidates should also upload the scanned copies of their Photograph and Signature.
  • They should also pay the Application Fee for the exam. Without application fee, no application form will be submitted.

RRB JE Exam Application Fee

  • Un-reserved category candidates have to pay an application fee of ₹ 500.
  • Reserved category candidates will given relaxation in the application fee of exam.

Mode of Payment

  • The application fee can be paid either online or offline method of payment.
  • Through online mode, the application fee can be paid through internet banking, Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Rupay/ Visa/ Master Card Also the UPI mode should be given their.
  • Through offline mode, it can be paid via E-Challan method where cash is to be deposited at SBI and its associate bank branches and then submit it to process given in notification.

Other Details

RRB JE Exam Admit Card 2019

Candidates can download their Hall Ticket from the official websites of the respective RRBs. The admit cards are generally released 10 days prior to the commencement of the exam. Admit cards are to be downloaded through the online mode only. Please note that no admit card will be sent through the post. The admit card contains details such as candidate’s Name, Roll Number, examination date, venue, etc. It is mandatory to carry the admit card to the examination centres for appearing in the exam.

RRB JE Exam 2019 Result

RRB releases the JE exam result through the official websites of different RRBs. Candidates who have appeared in the examination can check the result through their log-in credentials. After the result is announced, qualified candidates are called for the document verification process. If any false information is identified during the DV process, the candidature is cancelled. The final selection of the shortlisted candidates is subject to qualifying the Medical Fitness Test.

RRB JE Exam 2019 Salary Range

Salary of the Junior Engineer comes under the Pay Band – 2nd. As per Pay band 2nd, the basic salary ranges from ₹ 9,300 to ₹ 34,500 with grade pay of ₹ 4,200. During the training period, candidates are entitled to basic pay plus DA. On completion of training, TA, DA, and HRA are added to the basic salary. Thus, a Junior Engineer in India Railway can expect a salary starting from ₹ 42,000/-.
